1977 Can Am

I was into this car the first time I saw it. Mark Fearer brought it to the Tulley Show Tulley2000.htm I thought it looked great and was impressed by the T-tops. I almost told him to let me know if he ever sold it. Well I saw a Classical Pontiac ad for an e-bay auction for the very same car. I never hit the reserve but was able to strike a deal with Mark soon after the auction ended. On 9/7/02 I was bringing it home.

From the e-bay ad " To the best of our knowledge, it is believed that the car was purchased new in or around Rhode Island. It is believed that the car was stored throughout the eighties and much of the nineties as the original owner had 'legal problems' that kept him from the car. The second, brief owner, an auto enthusiast in Rhode Island, picked the car up with the intend of restoring it to its original factory condition, which he did a fantastic job of. The third owner noticed the car in 'Old Car Trader Magazine' in the spring of 2000 and also noticed it to be in New England."

It is believed that the t-tops were installed early in the car's life perhaps by the original dealer.
