FIREBIRD RED

Bring 1/4 lb roasted barley and water to a steep temperature of 160-170 deg F. Hold 15-20 mins

Bring 1 gal of water to a boil in the brew pot.

Sparge grains with cool water into brew pot

Add 6.6 lbs light or amber malt extract

Optional - add 1 lb honey

Boil with 1 oz Northern Brewer Hops 40 mins

Add 1 TSP Irish moss - 5 mins

Add 1 oz Tettnanger hops for an additional 5 mins.

Add to water in carboy, cool, add yeast
