Milbridge and Schoodic Point Tour

This end of July tour will have us all meet up in Ellsworth (Home Depot) on Friday the 30th and proceed to Schoodic Peninsula for a cookout lunch and then a driving tour of the park. From there we will drive to the Red Barn Motel in Millbridge to check into our rooms and get settled. Later we can have our own Happy Hour and then go to the local restaurant for drinks and supper.

Saturday after breakfast we will head to Columbia Falls and tour the Ruggles House (an interesting local landmark) and then on to the Big Blueberry for a little shopping. Then it’s time to head back up to the Cinammon Stick store. After shopping we’ll head over to George and Jane’s camp ,on the shore in Steuben for fresh crab rolls with a view. If we have time on the way back to the Red Barn we can stop over to McClellan park ,to see the granite shoreline. Then back to the motel and decide on supper. One note of interest, the Town of Milbridge will have it’s annual parade on Saturday from 11AM to 12 noon and we can either join it or avoid it ,we can figure that out later.

Sunday ,after breakfast ,if we didn’t make it to McClellan park ,the day before, we’ll do it Sunday morning. Then it’s taillights ….heading home.

There are other motels around, but they are quite a distance from the action. That’s why booking early at the Red Barn makes a lot of sense,it’s right in the middle of things and we would pretty much have the whole place to ourselves. This should be a great meet and we’ll have more details in one of the upcoming news letters.
